Townsville
Here Warren, Lester and Mandy set off on a sprightly walk up Castle Hill.
A certain person had a few aches and pains once he got back to base.

Townsville.
The top of the hill is beautifully laid out for all to enjoy. Joggers, Walkers tourists all enjoy exploring the hilltop.
Townsville
Les and Mandy were away when we arrived in Townsville, but to their credit they left us their car, their home and a long detailed list of "to do's."
Here we are on Castle Hill. One gets a wonderful view of the whole of Townsville from this vantage point.

it was fun meeting Annie's sister Vicky and her husband Chris. They have a beautiful home not too far from Sue and Alvin. Interesting people and an interesting home.

Perth has all sorts of wonderful places to visit. This was taken from a viewpoint in the Botancal Gardens. Sue was so wise to take a pram for all three children.

While in Melbourne I was delighted to trace our long lost friend Claire O'Connor from our Johannesburg days. Thanks to the programme called Facebook Sarah traced Claire's whereabouts and we were able to spend time together and catch up. I hope we keep in touch forever now.
The Mountains
How about a "zoo" in the middle of nowhere. It was fun showing Molly all the Australian animals. We bought buckets of food which we used to feed the animals.Molly had a ball.

This is the funny little cottage we stayed in.
This tree must be magnificent in the summer.

Molly had such fun being pulled along.
Not once did she show any nervousness and was game for as many rides as possible while Diana and I looked on.

Diana and Warren had great fun keeping the fires going. Diana's "farming" background came to the fore as she brought in the wood and coal.
To get to the bathroom during the night one had to enter from the passage outside so a boer maak 'n plan!!

Visit to the Mountains
Diana and Chris arranged to take us up to the Mountains where we could experience REAL cold. The cottage we stayed in was on a farm so we could hear and see all the farm animals. The cottage was really old and quaint, with some interesting features.
The scenery every morning was breathtaking being covered in white frost. In fact the landscape had a bluish tinge. One wonders how the birds continue to sing in that weather,

Granny and Molly loved to walks to the parks, Molly loved sharing her bread with the birds as long as she could have a few nibbles in between!
The birds were really cheeky and if you took long to toss the bread they would grab it out of your hands.

Chris is looking good. He is enjoying his job with Lonely Planet.
He is a great Dad and participates fully in Molly's life. Diana is keeping well and getting ready for the birth of their next baba. She looks so good while pregnant!
Chris took Molly, warren and I down to the "beach" for tea. It is fun going out with Molly as she is interested in everything and looks really hard. She is so keen to learn new words too.
